Hi! My name is Chris and I am a HUGE video-gaming hyena, Nintendo fan, & proponent of accessibility, preservation, and showmanship! Everything I've learned, I've learned so that I can help games reach more audiences and preserve their amazing history! My living room is a dedication of love to the craft.

In addition to being a game aficionado, I am also a proponent of using games to help improve the lives of others through fitness! One of my biggest accomplishments was dropping 300 pounds, from 500 to 200, purely by diet, exercise/exergaming and support from my amazing husband and friends! Integrating gaming into my health was a big part of getting healthy and has inspired my friends to do the same. I am proud to be an inspiration, motivator, and curator of games and their history.

What do I do?

I am all over the map in skills I’ve learned to help me accomplish my goals, and luckily many of these skills align with some pretty neat territory. A lot has to do with security, systems engineering, creative writing, and low level coding. I can speak several variants of assembly language; program USB drivers; help localize puns, jokes, and dialects; program firmware; create dynamic RGB lighting; run with both secops and devops engineers; analyze network and communication protocols; exploit properties of 802.11; and more! My specialty resides in looking at a problem and being able to functionally decompose it into workable tasks and take on each one. This has given me a wide breadth of skills and experience from taking so many projects from concept to reality.

I love bringing smiles to people's faces and giving them something truely magical and unique. My projects generally focus on a sense enveloping immersion and bringing back that feeling childhood whimsy. I love to re-purpose old technology and give it new life, and I am adamant that things are preserved to the highest degree feasible. When I can merge everything together to create an extraordinary spectical that is truely one of a kind, it's something I want to let everyone have a chance to experience for themselves. I'm not above having fun with it, and sharing in the enjoyment if anyone else wants to participate.

Menchi is my dog! He is a Shiba Inu and I wouldn't be where I am today without him! He too lives the gaming life and is famous for cosplaying! Be sure to check out how adorable he is when he was featured on Kotaku! Click here to see him in costume!
